Journey into Art

The “Meta-Visual” Exhibition not only allows viewers to observe a painting or a sculpture but also enables them to step into the heart of the artwork. The exhibition takes anyone interested in witnessing the artists creativity on a journey beyond dimensions and perspectives, inviting them inside the essence of the piece. Expanding the boundaries of art, it opens doors to discovering art in an entirely new manner.

A Unique Art Experience

The “Meta-Visual” exhibition renders art experiential, stimulating the senses of the viewers. Using sound, visuals, and even the sense of touch, it allows the audience to interact with the artworks. It presents an extraordinary art exhibition in specially created VR spaces for the pieces.

Boundless Creativity

VR provides artists with a limitless creative space, breaking boundaries and opening new realms for expression. Artists, utilizing not only traditional art materials and techniques but also the possibilities of the digital world, create unique pieces. The Meta-Visual exhibition showcases the boundary-pushing creativity of six talented Turkish artists who create artworks using the potentials of the virtual realm.

Asaf Erdemli

Asaf Erdemli

The artist, born in 1977, hails from Artvin and graduated with honors from the Sculpture Department of Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2007. Beginning his professional sculpture work in 2007, Asaf Erdemli currently continues the creation process of his artworks in his studio in Ankara. The artist's works have been featured in numerous group exhibitions and art fairs, including significant international events such as the International Fine Arts Fair at the Louvre Museum in Paris and the Scrap Art Festival in Qatar.

Aslı Işıksal

Aslı Işıksal

Aslı Işıksal completed her Master's Degree in the Department of Painting at Hacettepe University Fine Arts Institute in 2010. In 2013, she continued her studies at Jan Evangelista Purknye University in the Czech Republic. In 2014, Işıksal completed the Proficiency in Art Program at Hacettepe University Fine Arts Institute. She has participated in national and international projects and exhibitions in various places, including Estonia, Italy, Vienna, Istanbul, and Ankara. The artist has works in numerous institutions, organizations, and private collections, with five solo exhibitions and two awards in Turkey. Her works have been exhibited in galleries such as Mamut Art, Mixer, Depo, Siyah Beyaz, and Krank Art. Currently, she works as an associate professor in the Department of Painting at Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts.

oddviz collective

oddviz collective

oddviz is an art collective based in İstanbul focusing on scanning objects and locations using photogrammetry technique, producing 3D digital replicas. The collective presents digitized commodities in virtual environments with installations. Erdal Inci studied painting and works in photography and digital arts. Çağrı Taşkın is an architect who is working on 3D modeling, visuals and visualization. Serkan Kaptan studied engineering and did his masters in environmental studies. He works in digital arts, performance art and political ecology. oddviz collective have been working with dear friend Gurur Gelen for all audio compositions used in videos.

Uzay Copu

In 2010, he completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Fine Arts, Painting at Hacettepe University. As part of the Erasmus Program, during the 2008-2009 academic year, he continued his studies at Jan Evangelista Purkyne University in the Czech Republic. His works have been featured in numerous exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Since 2012, he has held a total of eight solo exhibitions. From 2014 to 2016, he worked as an illustrator for L-Manyak magazine. In 2017, he earned a master's degree from the Department of Communication and Design at Bilkent University's Institute of Economics and Social Sciences.

F. Onur Urganioğlu

F. Onur Urganioğlu

F. Onur completed his undergraduate and graduate education in the Department of Guitar Arts at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. Additionally, he obtained a Master's degree in the Department of Fine Arts. He received acting training at Sadri Alışık Academy and worked as a lecturer. Furthermore, he is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Programming at Anadolu University. Among his achievements in the field of arts, he founded the Güvercin Stand Up and co-founded Neome Games. Moreover, he is employed at Cerebrum Technology and Software Company, where he works on Game Development, 3D Modeling and Animation, and Software. He holds the position of Game Team Leader. In 2022, he participated in TÜBİTAK's Entrepreneurship Support Program and received support for his project titled 'Development of a Virtual Reality Platform for NFTs and Digital Art.' This project was approved and supported by TÜBİTAK. He has also served as a faculty member in the Guitar Department at Başkent University State Conseratory and Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory.

Mustafa Akkaya

Mustafa Akkaya

He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts in the year 2000 and started his academic career as a Research Assistant in 2001. After 2006, he conducted academic studies in Norway, Sweden, Romania, and Northern Cyprus. In 2012, he completed his Artistic Proficiency at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. In 2013, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor. In 2016, he visited Sofia, Bulgaria, as an invited artist. In 2019, he earned the title of Associate Professor. He has held 6 solo exhibitions, 3 domestically and 3 internationally, and participated in 13 applied art symposiums, 10 of which were international. He has participated in numerous group art events at both the international and national levels. He has been involved in various projects in collaboration with public and private sectors. Currently, he continues his work in the fields of Digital Sculpting, VFX, CGI, and Computer-Aided Animation.
